Athlone bus and rail station is just a short 5 minute car journey from the hotel. There are a number of taxi services available outside the station for patrons.

Directions to the Shamrock Lodge Hotel Athlone from Dublin:

Take junction number 12 for Roscommon (after you cross over the river)
Turn right at top of slip road (Renault garage directly in front of you)
Follow this road to “T” junction and take a left
Continue on this road past Toyota garage to a set of traffic lights and take a right
Proceed under railway bridge and straight on to small roundabout painted on road
Take a right here (or 3rd exit ) then take next immediate left
The hotel is 200 metres ahead on the right hand side of the road

Follow the N6 to Athlone/ Dublin and take junction number 12 (Roscommon Exit)
When you come to roundabout (at Ganlys hardware) take right/3rd exit.
